It’s just what I needed. I got up early and made the shopping list. I was home with lunch by around 12:30 pm, and the rest of the day was just relaxing. Watching baseball. Dozing. Reading. Delicious.
Tonight, Han is off to do a couple radio interviews for a show he’s involved with next Sunday, the San Diego Troubadour’s 10-year anniversary show. I’m going to put the dinner for tomorrow night together so he can put it in the oven around 5 pm tomorrow. D is now in high school, but it’s a performing arts high school down in the South Bay of San Diego, not in the neighborhood. When she’s with us, she has to be at the bus stop by 6:15 am. So she politely asked if we could eat by 6 pm so she can do her homework and be in bed by 9 pm. What a trooper. She’s been doing pretty good with the very early morning thing. Better than Han & I most days.
Today was a beautiful day, though there was the smell of fire in the air this afternoon. It was still warm enough to have the windows and doors open, but not oppressively hot.
I finally finished The Angel’s Game by Carlos Ruiz Zafon, and am now reading The Sugar Queen by Sara Addison Allen, recommended by my sister. I am loving it. It’s some nice chick lit which feels great after The Angel’s Game.
That’s all I have for now. Hope you all had a good weekend!
