Saturday morning I slept in, and it was magical. I didn’t wake up until after 8 am! That’s almost unheard of for me. I got dressed and left to get on a trail. I hiked about four miles on a flat trail, and it felt good, except that I developed a wee blister on my right heel. I may need to get new hiking shoes. After the hike, I hit Starbucks for a yummy iced mocha and ham & cheese croissant. It was such a beautiful morning, I sat out in my backyard and read a bit while I enjoyed my breakfast.

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful. I read. I watched “The Watcher” on Netflix. I watched the Astros win the World Series. I made dinner for me and Mom.
Today, or rather in the early morning hours, we “fell back.” My magical sleeping in button wasn’t working, and I woke up at 6:40 am. I thought about getting dressed to go hike, but I wasn’t feeling it first thing. It was another mild day so I figured I could go later. Instead, I went and got breakfast for Mom (donut) and myself (Starbucks again). I read a little bit, finished “The Watcher,” and read some. Around 1 pm, I went for a hike. I only did two miles today because the blister was kind of painful. It was still nice on the trail though.

When I got home, it was more of the same: some reading, some TV, some chatting with Mom. Later I finished up balancing my finances since I’d been gone. I still need to work on those insurance travel claims. I hope to talk to our travel agent tomorrow. Mom took a nap so I didn’t make the Blue Apron we were going to have. It’s fine. I’ll make it tomorrow.
This week should be pretty low-key. It’s supposed to rain a couple days. Mom & I may go to a bakery we like in Whittier. I’ll go back to my Aqua Zumba classes for a couple more weeks. Maybe D & I will get to play some tennis. I’m not sure if I get Veterans Day off this week. I’ll look that up at work tomorrow. Hope y’all have a great week!
Two things: 1) eating outside is so nice! And 2) you’re the cutest!
I didn’t remember it was the month to write everyday. Good job Lizzie!
