Wakanda Forever & car maintenance

My local theater is offering $5 Tuesdays for a limited time so I took advantage and went to see the latest Marvel movie, “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.” I saw the first Black Panther movie, but I am by no means a Marvel fan. I’ve seen the Guardians of the Galaxy movies, but that’s about it aside from the Black Panther ones. I enjoyed the first one and was shocked when Chadwick Boseman died. This sequel is compelling, full of action, looks at the different ways grief manifests, and certainly sets up the franchise for future installments. I really liked all the badass women in this movie, and if the world could really contain a land like Wakanda, it would be a better world. I give it a hearty thumbs up.

Today I had an appointment for an oil change. As often happens, there are other things that come up when you take your car in. In my case, the battery was on its way out and something about fuel induction? Anyway, I did almost all the things they told me. I take my car to the dealership, and I’ve always felt that they treat me well and don’t pressure me to do things. I also have the legacy of my dad who took really good care of his vehicles and instilled in us the same thing. I felt good about the attention my car got today, especially knowing how much driving I’m going to be doing in the next month.

Tomorrow, I’m taking a day off and Mom & I are going for a day trip to San Juan Capistrano to have lunch and walk around a bit which should be fun. Look for an update about our adventure in the next couple days.
