That’s a weird way to look at it, but that’s what came to me for this title. There are nine Fridays left in the year, and this one’s already done for. How did you spend yours?
As for me, I worked, read, then I took Mom to her podiatrist. He’s a very nice man, and we both enjoy seeing him. He’s about my age with parents about Mom’s age (a little older). We chat about vacations as he gives her tootsies some TLC.
After that, we (just Mom & I haha) went to lunch at an Italian place we hadn’t been to in a while. We remembered liking their calamari. On impulse, I also got a cappuccino which I gulped down before our food even came out. It was good.
Unfortunately, the calamari weren’t good today, very crunchy and hard to eat. But I enjoyed the pizza. One thing I admire about Mom is when she doesn’t like something, she says something. I usually would just let it go, but she lets them know if the food is sub-standard. She does it nicely and both of the recent times they’ve taken it off the bill.
After lunch, we went to the library to drop off our ballots and she picked up some books. I have two books that I need to finish by Tuesday. I think I’ll be able to do it. I’ve already renewed two or three times because I didn’t take them to Greece.
When we got home, I watched the latest episode of GBBO (or Great British Baking Show/Bake Off). I also did a couple sketches since us Wann women have decided to try a drawing challenge. Fun! I also watched some live stream videos from a memorial going on down in San Diego for a friend I knew back in the late 90s who recently took her own life. I was shocked to learn the news. I hope you’re at peace now, Mary Dolan.
I hope to get out for a hike tomorrow. It’s been a while. Until next time!
